![]() I'm sure they are just fine based on these testimonials. I've never seen or played one of the 'new' Washburns so I can't make any knowledgeable comment on them. It kind of kills me when these great old brand names get sold off and attached to instruments bearing little or no relationship in style or craft to the original company and their work. I've traded some emails with a nice Dutch guy who is writing a book on Washburn instruments after spending a few years working in Chicago. Everytime I play them I am filled with the great feeling and history that lives on in these instruments. I have a few old Washburn bowlbacks and a couple no-label L+H bowls that sound great. ![]() Jen and all, I've been waiting to weigh in on this knowing that I'll be out on the wire with an admittedly sentimentalist position. ![]()
